Unii producători de monitoare de pacient limitează distanța de utilizare, de exemplu - nu mai aproape de 0,5 metri de magnet. Sistemele RMN 3 Tesla au o acțiune foarte puternică asupra obiectelor metalice / electronice. Pentru a nu prezenta pericol la utilizarea acestor sisteme, este mai sigur includerea cerinței să nu existe limită de distanță în utilizarea monitorului de pacient, acesta fiind complet neferomagnetic.

Distanța de utilizare nu mai aproape de 0,5 metri este acceptabilă pentru exploatarea monitorului în zona mesei pacientului.
